This course is for members of the public who want to know what action to take in any emergency and want to learn how to deal with accidents and injuries. This course is also tailored towards sole traders and businesses that employ less than 20 employees and also lone workers, This course is the replacement for the 'Appointed Persons' course.

What will i be taught?

The course covers emergency life support procedures for adults, children and infants.

Course Syllabus

Communication and casualty care.
Incident Management.
Looking after yourself and the casualty.
Adult, child and infant resuscitation including CPR/recovery position.
Treatment of severe bleeding, chest pain and an unconscious casualty.
Treatment of choking in adults, children and infants.

Course duration

Four hours.

Assessment and certification process:

Continuous assessment by trainer.
